Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking Trauma Surgeons in Baton Rouge, LA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a no-call, Monday–Friday lifestyle with options for part-time or full-time schedules and the opportunity to maintain surgical skills through debridement and bedside procedures.

Qualified candidates hold an MD or DO, unrestricted state license (or eligibility), and a DEA license (or eligibility).

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Open background welcome; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the Baton Rouge area.
• Provide wound care physician services and surgical debridement/bedside procedures as part of daily practice.
• Follow patients through healing and build lasting relationships in post-acute care settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
