Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in hospital trauma registry, coding, or clinical research including a minimum of 2 years in trauma registry.
• Active RN license may substitute for required experience.
• Licensure/certifications as RN or trauma registry specialty.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Trauma Registry and abstracts required information for reporting to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
• Performs data quality checks and ensures accurate mapping with the hospital data systems (EPIC).
• Coordinates internal and external data reporting and supports performance improvement initiatives.
• Prepares data reports for Trauma Committee and site visits; identifies trends and opportunities for registry improvements.
