Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Trauma Registrar to support the Trauma Service, reporting to the Trauma Coordinator and adhering to all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include data entry for trauma and head and spine registries, report writing, and quality improvement reports to nursing staff; candidates should have at least one year in ICU or ED and trauma registry experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience at a Level II trauma center; ICU or ED 1 year.
• One year medical experience or prior trauma and head/spine registry experience.
• Ability to be organized, creative, self-directed, autonomous, and goal-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Data entry for trauma and head and spine registries as outlined by the Trauma Coordinator.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Trauma Registrar position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

• The Trauma / Head and Spine registry serves as an integral component of Trauma Service as required by the Illinois
• Department of Public Health for Level II Trauma Center designation.
• General responsibilities include data entry for trauma and head and spine registries as outlined by the Trauma Coordinator, report writing, and quality improvement reports to nursing staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent
• Experience at a Level II, preferably Level I Trauma Center.
• 1 year in either ICU or ED
• One year medical experience or previous Trauma and Head/Spine registry experience.
• Ability to be organized, creative, self-directed, autonomous, and goal-oriented
