Job summary
University Hospital Würzburg is seeking dedicated nurses to provide comprehensive care in trauma and plastic surgery across all ages, from adolescents to elderly. You will participate in pre- and postoperative care, wound management and pain control within an interdisciplinary team.
We offer a permanent contract from day one with flexible full-time or part-time options, structured onboarding, and funding for training.
Qualifications
- Completed examination as a nursing professional.
- Interest or experience in trauma surgery / orthopedics / plastic surgery.
- Competence in dressing changes or willingness to develop.
- High flexibility, resilience and sense of responsibility.
- Empathy in dealing with patients in acute and often painful situations.
- Teamwork and independent, structured work style.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive nursing care for trauma and plastic surgery patients of all ages.
- Pre- and postoperative care and monitoring.
- Nursing and care of conservatively treated patients.
- Performing dressing changes with wound assessment and aseptic technique.
- Pain management and mobilization support during rehabilitation.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors, physiotherapy and social services.
- Guidance for patients and relatives in care and recovery.
- Ensuring proper care documentation and compliance with quality and hygiene standards.
