Job summary

HonorHealth Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a Physician Assistant - Trauma to provide patient care in the Trauma Center and Emergency Department under physician supervision. You will participate in rounds, assist surgeons, order tests, educate patients, and contribute to discharge planning.

The ideal candidate has AMA-accredited PA education, valid AZ PA license with national certification, and at least 1 year of PA experience, preferably in surgical/trauma settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA-accredited PA program.
• 1 year of experience as Physician Assistant.
• Arizona PA license and National Certification as PA.
• Experience with surgical and trauma patients preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Performs rounds in trauma and ED, supports surgeon and trauma intensivist.
• Orders labs and imaging; documents progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Assists in procedures; participates in rounds and handoffs.
• Educates patients and families; mentors clinical staff.
• Stays current on evidence-based practice and credentialing.
• Participates in Performance Improvement and Trauma Committee activities.
