Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center in Downey, CA is seeking a capable Orthopedic Trauma surgeon to join a 21-surgeon team. The role includes a mix of office and operating room duties, with opportunities for teaching residents and involvement in a large health system.

The ideal candidate has a trauma fellowship, board eligibility or certification, and an interest in community hospital practice with balanced OR and clinic responsibilities. Per diem options may be available.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Trauma is required.
• Board Eligible if in training; Board Certified otherwise.
• Interest in community hospital-based fracture/infection practice with OR/office balance.
• Experience or training in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Treat trauma patients with a mix of OR and office duties.
• Collaborate with RN coordinator, PAs and non-trauma surgeons.
• Support cases across main hospital in Downey and ambulatory centers.
