Job summary

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, is seeking an Orthopaedic Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to deliver comprehensive musculoskeletal care with a trauma focus. You will work with physicians, APPs, residents, and support staff in both team and independent clinics, in an outpatient setting.

The role offers collaboration, continued education, and opportunities to mentor APPs, students, and peers, with a supportive, collegial environment in a renowned academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care with trauma focus.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as injections and wound care.
• Cover day call on a regular rotational basis.
• Maintain documentation and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care, including patient evaluation, imaging, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Manage patient communications, including calls, prescription refills, results, and urgent triage.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as injections, aspirations, splinting, casting, bracing, minor outpatient procedures, and wound care.
• Participate in peer-to-peer reviews for insurance coverage and support administrative requirements.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities, including mentoring APPs, students, and peers.
• Cover day call on a regular rotational basis.
