ChristianaCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Trauma Program. The role involves collaboration with trauma attendings, surgeons, and various subspecialists to manage trauma patients per approved protocols.

He/she will facilitate Level 1 Trauma Center verification and participate in performance improvement, injury prevention and teaching opportunities. In addition to day shifts, the candidate will assume evening, weekend and holiday obligations as part of a

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in APRN or ARC-PA accredited program is required.
• License for NP or PA in the state of Delaware is required or eligible.
• Acute Care NP license required.
• Experience in the acute care setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with trauma attendings and surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and trauma hospitalists.
• Manage trauma patients using approved protocols for surgical and medical care.
• Lead trauma program initiatives related to verification and designation as a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives, injury prevention, and teaching opportunities.
• Commit to day, evening, weekend and holiday obligations.
