Job summary

Main Line Health in the Philadelphia area is seeking an accomplished Trauma Surgeon to serve as Medical Director of the Trauma Program at Lankenau Medical Center or Paoli Hospital. This leadership role combines administrative oversight with active clinical practice, guiding trauma care, prevention, research, and education across a respected health system.

Qualifications

• Board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
• Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care, Trauma or Acute Care Surgery.
• ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency completed.
• ATLS Instructor status and ongoing CME in trauma.

Responsibilities

• Lead the trauma program direction in collaboration with the Program Coordinator.
• Provide medical direction and supervise trauma services across specialties.
• Ensure compliance with state/local trauma regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Oversee clinical performance improvement activities and trauma research.
