Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Trauma Med/Surg unit.

The role involves delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a high-acuity setting and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. The RN must have a Florida RN license (or eNLC) and BLS, with at least 1 year of RN experience; Nurse Resident options are available for those new to practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses.
• Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Delivers care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned.
• Prioritizes patient care and delegates tasks as appropriate to the healthcare team.
• Communicates with medical staff to plan and manage unit operations.
• Maintains documentation meeting regulatory standards.
