Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our new 14-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility opening this summer. The role involves managing youth treatment with a trauma-informed approach, conducting clinical assessments, and planning discharges to support ongoing recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, social work, marriage & family therapy, psychology, counseling, or clinically related fields.
• If unlicensed, must be on track to complete licensure for a specific related discipline.
• Provisional/intermediary license may be held (e.g., LMFTA, LPCA).
• Experience in residential/inpatient or outpatient settings required.
• Valid driver's license and state driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of youth treatment through engagement, assessment, and discharge planning.
• Apply trauma-informed practice to enhance milieu and programming.
• Engage families through family therapy and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with community and providers regarding progress and discharge planning.
• Coordinate aftercare with families and social service providers.
