Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters in the content area.
• Must possess, be eligible or working towards certification: Comprehensive Special Education (PreK-12). Willing to assist appropriate candidate to obtain this.
• (305) Elementary (1-6), (various) content area (4-12)
• Period of Employment: 2025-2026 school year, summer work also available

Responsibilities

• Team with an experienced special educator, teaching assistants and clinicians to meet the needs of students with special needs in two trauma informed classrooms
• Connect with students to achieve academic and therapeutic goals
• Develop student resilience, protective factors and distress tolerance
• Design lesson plans to meet the needs of students in small group setting
• Engage colleagues, students and families in the learning process
• Apply student’s reading and literacy skills in areas of student interest
• Demonstrate knowledge of special education regulations and guidelines
• Implement IEP and progress-monitor student growth
• Prepare documents for PPT participation
