Job summary

Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide forensic/medical care to sexual assault patients under supervision. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed care and participate in education for patients, families, and staff.

The role requires an ADN, Kansas or Missouri licensure (multistate) and annual Life Support Certifications, with BSN preferred for future hires. Onsite work only; vaccines may be required per policy.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree ADN required.
• 1–2 years of pediatrics experience recommended.
• RN license KS or MO multistate required; compact license for other states as applicable.
• Life Support Certifications required upon hire; specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic/medical exams in cases of alleged sexual abuse under supervision.
• Meet educational needs of patient, family, and staff; teach and inform.
• Deliver therapeutic, safe and efficient nursing care.
• Attend education programs, unit meetings, and mandatory certifications.
