Job summary

PMHCC, Inc. seeks a Trauma Informed Peer Specialist (30 hrs/week) in Philadelphia, PA. The role supports a trauma-informed, population-health focused program delivering peer services to underserved communities and coordinating with DBHIDS partners.

Responsibilities include community outreach, identifying resources, and facilitating skill-building with peers and interns. Certification is preferred; bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: high school diploma or GED.
  • Bi-lingual or bi-literate skills are strongly encouraged.
  • Certification as CPS/CRS/CHW is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Attend community meetings and develop targeted partnerships.
  • Assist individuals in identifying recovery and wellness resources.
  • Identify barriers and connect to appropriate support systems and trainings.
  • Provide information and aid in accessing community supports.
  • Present at workshops and events in the community with DBHIDS.
