Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice in Lincoln, IL seeks a dedicated Physical Education Educator to join our educational team. This role focuses on trauma-informed, high-expectation instruction to help youth build confidence and skills in history, civics, and core subjects.

As part of a collaborative program with education, behavioral health, security, and leadership, you will differentiate instruction, monitor progress, and prepare students for academic and career readiness in a secure

Formación

• ISBE PEL with Secondary Education in Physical Education (required).
• Two years of experience with behavior modification preferred.
• Experience supporting students with emotional or behavioral needs preferred.
• Proficiency with core Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent collaboration and communication with staff and families.

Responsabilidades

• Administers classroom and individual instruction to participating youth.
• Develops curricula for each assigned teaching subject.
• Develops examination tools to measure student strengths and progress.
• Prepares and maintains attendance, achievement, and progress records.
• Directs students in recreational or extracurricular activities.
• Attends and participates in regular teachers’ meetings and planning sessions.
