Job summary

Foundations for Living in Mansfield, Ohio, seeks a dedicated milieu Coordinator to supervise unit activity, support care staff, and uphold a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment for youths 10-17. This in-person, full-time role focuses on safety, schedule adherence, and program integrity within an 84-bed residential facility.

The Milieu Coordinator collaborates with Unit Managers and Specialists, ensures policy compliance, and protects residents' rights as part of a mission to empower healing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice or related mental health field and one year experience with troubled youth.
• High School diploma and four years' experience may be substituted where allowed by contracting authority.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Certified in CPR, First Aid and Handle With Care (offered during Orientation).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and policy/procedure manuals.
• Milieu Coordinator may be required to physically restrain clients as a last resort.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Unit Managers in training employees and managing shift schedules.
• Proactively support Specialists on the units in acuity, crisis or other unit issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures through supervision and examination of unit activity/workflow.
• Ensure rights of clients and their families are respected and protected.
