Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care is seeking a Culinary Support Specialist to assist in preparing, portioning, and serving meals for patients in a 24/7 medical respite kitchen. You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen and support dietary needs with dignity and respect.

The role focuses on safe food handling, adherence to nutrition guidelines, and collaboration with kitchen and clinical staff to support patient health and well-being in a trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

• Meal preparation in accordance with established menus and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of hot and cold meals; portion, plate, and distribute meals per dietary guidelines.
• Support meal service including tray assembly and timely delivery.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization; wash dishes and manage equipment safely.
• Receive, label, store, and rotate food following FIFO standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols; monitor temperature and logs.
