Job summary

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Front Desk Safety Attendant to greet visitors, answer the phone, screen clients, and coordinate front desk operations.

This role focuses on de-escalation and trauma-informed safety, maintaining a secure environment while collaborating with staff and external agencies as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid within 90 days, and strong customer service; health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • Experience in customer service preferred, especially in human services environments.
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a trauma-informed setting.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the office phone and greet visitors at the front desk.
  • Screen, direct, and assist clients, vendors, contractors and others who approach the desk.
  • Maintain safety of clients, staff, visitors, and property; de-escalate when necessary.
  • Keep the front desk area clean and organized and report incidents to management.
  • Monitor building entry/exit points and control access as required.
  • Provide support in crisis situations while adhering to trauma-informed principles.
