Job summary

The Guidance Center seeks a Therapist for the Kids-TALK Program in Michigan to conduct intake assessments, provide trauma-informed therapy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include client assessments, therapy, referrals, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with Michigan licensure (TLLP/LLP/LMSW/LLMSW/LP/C) is required.
• Experience working with minors and families preferred.
• Trauma-informed practice and collaborative engagement with families.
• Cultural competency and ability to engage diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and complete opening paperwork.
• Provide trauma-informed individual, family and group therapy.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and school personnel.
• Provide referrals for services and community resources as needed.
• Complete clinical records in a timely manner per policies.
• Supervise interns and participate in supervision and meetings.
• Meet annual trainings, including trauma-focused coursework.
• Maintain 25 hours of billable service per week for full-time staff.
