Job summary

St. Monica’s Home in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks a Family Case Manager to provide family-centered case management and supportive services for children and families in our programs and Family Drug Court.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; two years of coursework and/or two years of experience in substance use, mental health, case management, or related human services may be accepted.
• Experience working with children, families, substance use, and/or mental health services preferred.
• Knowledge of child development, parenting education, and community resources preferred.
• Experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification required or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and supportive services related to children and family needs within residential services and Family Drug Court.
• Support participants in strengthening parenting skills, family relationships, and healthy child development practices.
• Facilitate parenting, psychoeducational, and child development programming as assigned.
• Coordinate services and communication related to children’s needs with internal treatment teams, community providers, and Tribal entities as applicable.
• Support participant visitation, family engagement, and reunification efforts in a culturally responsive and participant-centered manner.
• Monitor and communicate concerns related to child well-being, development, safety, and family functioning to appropriate treatment team members.
• Support implementation of evidence-based and culturally responsive parenting and family programming.
• Fulfill requirements of Family Drug Court contract.
• Assist with participant advocacy, resource coordination, and connection to community supports and services.
