Job summary

Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Homes (KyUMH) is seeking a Clinician focused on personalized, non-insurance-based support to provide on-site mental health services to youth in our shelter and care programs. The clinician will conduct assessments, offer individual and group counseling, and guide care staff on trauma-informed interventions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with case managers, adherence to regulations, and crisis intervention to support youth recovering from trauma.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral field from an accredited program.
• Current Independent Licensure - LPCC, LCSW, LMFT or applicable Kentucky licensure.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site face-to-face mental health counseling sessions.
• Conduct mental health assessments and crisis intervention.
• Provide clinical guidance to case managers and direct care staff; advise Care Team on mental health issues.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and human trafficking screening.
