Job summary

Urban Resource Institute (URI) in New York City seeks a Case Manager for the Innovative Urban Village supportive housing program. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of case management or direct service experience.
• Experience with survivors of domestic violence and families with complex needs.
• Knowledge of OTDA regulations and ESSHI guidelines.
• Strong crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes, biopsychosocial assessments, and individualized service plans.
• Provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
• Facilitate groups and workshops on parenting, wellness, DV recovery, tenancy and life skills.
• Conduct home visits to assess safety, tenancy conditions, and service needs.
• Advocate and accompany residents navigating benefits, legal systems, education, childcare, and healthcare.
• Support long-term housing stability through proactive engagement and risk identification.
• Educate residents on lease compliance, communication with management, conflict resolution, and household management.
• Assist with recertifications, inspections, and housing-related documentation.
• Ensure services align with ESSHI and OTDA standards; maintain documentation in CAPS/HMIS.
• Participate in audits, case reviews, and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate emergency responses with internal and external partners.
