Job summary

CHI Health Lasting Hope Recovery Center in Omaha seeks a Behavioral Support Specialist to provide direct behavioral support and supportive services to patients with mental illness or substance use disorders. The role focuses on managing the milieu and building skills for emotional and social wellbeing.

You will work with a team of clinical professionals to tailor care plans, promote ethical practice, and participate in staff meetings and QA activities.

Qualifications

• BA degree required at hire or Mental Health Tech certificate from AMA or National Career Certification Board
• Basic Life Support CPR (BLS-CPR) required on hire

Responsibilities

• Support patients with behavioral needs within therapeutic milieu
• Carry out care plans under clinical supervision
• Promote trauma-informed care and patient dignity
• Respond to emergencies and maintain a safe environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and attend meetings
• Participate in safety, infection control and program development activities
