Job summary

University of Kentucky nurses are seeking a RN to join the Trauma ICU on the 7th floor Tower 200 in Lexington, KY. This full-time position requires ADN and valid Kentucky RN licensure with BLS.

The role involves night shifts and weekend/holiday work, providing comprehensive patient-centered care within a collaborative team. Responsibilities include nursing care planning, direct patient care, and supervision of Nursing Care Technicians.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• Active Kentucky RN license or equivalent and BLS for Healthcare Provider.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment date.
• No experience required.
• Must be able to work three 12-hour NIGHT shifts per week (7p–7:30a) and some weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide total, comprehensive, continuous and patient-centered nursing care.
• Assess, document, plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive nursing plan of care.
• Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians.
