Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeon to join the busy trauma team at Kennestone in Marietta, GA. The role includes serving as an EGS leader, providing general surgery and critical care coverage, and contributing to teaching and program development in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates will hold board certification/eligibility in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, possess ATLS certification, and be prepared to obtain Georgia licensure.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
• ATLS certification and credentialing for EGS coverage are preferred
• GA licensure or willingness to obtain licensure in GA

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma surgical and surgical critical care coverage as part of a busy Level 1 trauma center team
• Participate in the Acute Care Surgery call panel and lead EGS initiatives
• Lead and mentor ACS/EGS practice, quality improvement and education initiatives
