Job summary

CompHealth is recruiting a Trauma and Emergency General Surgery specialist for a travel assignment in Iowa. The role includes 15 shifts per month with day/night rotations and one clinic day per week, tackling trauma and EGS cases across adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics, with ICU coverage as part of the team.

The ideal candidate holds a Fellowship in Critical Care and Trauma surgery training, with Level II trauma center operations experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Trauma surgery experience and training required.
• Fellowship training in Critical Care required.
• Experience with Level II Trauma center operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle Trauma and Emergency General Surgery cases across adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
• Provide ICU coverage as part of the trauma team.
• Night EGS backup call shared with the team.
