Job summary

The LSU School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery seeks a faculty member to join Trauma / Critical Care Surgery at University Medical Center - New Orleans. The appointment will be at Assistant, Associate, or Professor, with rank and track determined by qualifications, experience, and stature in the field.

The successful candidate will teach Surgical Critical Care fellows, General Surgery residents, and medical students; lead trauma/critical care services; and contribute to scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed before hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach Surgical Critical Care fellows, General Surgery residents, and medical students.
• Lead trauma/critical care services and participate in clinical operations.
• Contribute to scholarly activity and program development.
• Collaborate with hospital administration on leadership initiatives.
