Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Trauma Coordinator for Highland Park Hospital. This full-time day role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with on-call duties for trauma pages and travel to other campus locations as needed.

You will monitor trauma service activities, ensure Illinois EMS/Trauma Center Code compliance, support trauma initiatives and staff education, and assist with data collection and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Current IL nursing licensure required.
• NLN-accredited nursing program required; BSN strongly preferred.
• Trauma certifications (TNS, TNCC, TCRN) and ACLS/PALS/BLS required.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency/Trauma Care experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; MS Word/Excel knowledge; IDPH rules knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes performance and quality improvement processes to monitor trauma service activities with a multidisciplinary team approach.
• Ensures compliance with Illinois EMS/Trauma Center Code.
• Assists with development, revision, and implementation of trauma initiatives, policies, and staff education.
• Acts as a resource for education and problem solving for trauma care teams; provides on-site teaching.
• Participates in trauma program presentations and community injury prevention programs.
• Evaluates Trauma Program through data capture, follow-up, and trend analysis.
• Responsible for Trauma Registry data collection and quarterly IDPH submissions.
• Represents Endeavor Health on regional and State committees.

Trauma Coordinator- Day Position Highlights:

Hourly Pay Range: $39.49 - $61.21 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Job Details

• Position: Trauma, Coordinator
• Location: Highland Park Hospital
• Full Time: Full Time , 40 hours per week
• Hours: Monday - Friday(7am-3:30pm)
• On Call: yes, respond to trauma pages
• Travel: to other campus as needed

What you will need

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: Trauma Certification (TNS, TNCC, TCRN), ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Experience: 2 years of experience in Emergency and Trauma Care Department is highly preferred.
• Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel. Knowledge of IDPH Rules and Regulations preferred.

• Ensures compliance with the State of Illinois EMS/Trauma Center Code.
• Assists with the development/revision and implementation of trauma initiatives, trauma policies and procedures, staff education activities
• Resource for educational and problem solving purposes to multi-disciplinary personnel involved in trauma care performing on-site teaching
• Participate in trauma related program presentations and community injury prevention programs
• Evaluates Trauma Program through the use of data capture, follow-up and trend analysis
• Responsible for the Trauma Registry, including data collection and quarterly submission to IDPH
• Represents Endeavor Health on various regional and State committees
