Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical Center's R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced, high-acuity Trauma Resuscitation Unit. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Maryland state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) required.
• One year of previous experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and take vital signs.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Participate in patient safety and hygiene, wound and catheter care.
• Collaborate with health care team to implement care plans.
