Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. seeks a Trauma / Acute Care Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a fast-paced hospital team in Long Beach, California. This full-time, shift-based position provides coverage for trauma and acute care surgery patients.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, rounds, pre/postoperative care, and coordinating with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams. California PA/NP licensure and NCCPA certification required.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current or eligible California PA or NP license.
• NCCPA certification for PAs or appropriate national certification for NPs.
• Eligible for hospital credentialing and clinical privileges.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate and manage trauma and acute care surgery patients in the emergency department and inpatient setting.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and clinical decision-making.
• Participate in daily rounds and manage hospitalized surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons with treatment planning and execution.
• Manage preoperative and postoperative patients.
• Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies within scope of practice.
• Perform credentialed bedside procedures within scope of practice.
• Coordinate specialty consultations and multidisciplinary care.
• Assist with discharge planning, patient education, and follow-up.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and communicate with supervising surgeons and hospital teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in trauma and acute care surgery quality initiatives.

• Trauma,acute care surgery, general surgery, emergency medicine, critical care, orother high-acuity experience preferred
• Strongclinical judgment and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitalenvironment
• Excellentcommunication and teamwork skills
• Abilityto collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitmentto high-quality, patient-centered care

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $130,000
