Job summary

Extant Healthcare seeks a dedicated Trauma APP for Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. The role partners with trauma surgeons and emergency teams to deliver high-quality care to patients with traumatic injuries in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, intraoperative assistance, resuscitation, and documentation. The position emphasizes teamwork, education of learners, and continuous quality improvement within a leading trauma program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited PA/NP program.
• Board Certification and Virginia license or eligibility.
• Experience in trauma, emergency medicine, or surgery preferred.
• Strong clinical and procedural trauma skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage acute traumatic injuries in emergency and inpatient settings.
• Provide intraoperative and postoperative surgical assistance.
• Participate in trauma resuscitation and emergency interventions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and operative reports.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff for full patient care.
• Support training of medical students and residents.
