Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care.
• Ability to independently manage trauma surgery (Level II), emergency general surgery, and broad acute care surgery caseload.
• Willingness to participate in 7–8 inhouse 24hour primary call shifts per month; backup call coverage.
• Eligibility for Texas medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex emergency general surgery and traumatic injuries.
• Provide independent operative management across acute care surgery.
• Contribute to a busy Level II trauma center with productive care delivery.
