Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program.
• National specialty certification as an Acute Care ANP, Acute Care PNP or NNP; or Certification through the NCCPA (NCCPA).
• Maintain licensure and DEA registration; participate in ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Abide by Dartmouth-Hitchcock bylaws and professional conduct.
• Obtain comprehensive or focused history and perform physical exams.
• Order appropriate screening and diagnostic tests and studies.
• Obtain informed consent for procedures and studies.
• Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical devices within scope.
• Initiate referrals and manage admissions/discharges as applicable.
• Provide patient and family centered care and education.
• Maintain documentation and ensure privacy and consent.
