Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring for a full-time Trash Technician position at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The role operates on a 11:00 pm – 7:00 am schedule with rotating weekends/holidays and offers a $17.00 per hour pay rate.

Responsibilities include collecting, transporting, and disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials following safety protocols, plus cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have physical ability to walk, stand and push trash containers weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Prior trash tech and custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, transports, and disposes of trash, chemicals, and bio-hazardous materials using proper safety procedures.
• Performs cleaning functions as assigned; properly operates cleaning equipment as designated.
• Recognizes safety hazards and acts accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
