Job summary

Rumcsi is seeking an Evening Shift Patient Transporter to move patients safely and efficiently within a hospital setting. You will transport patients to and from clinical units, diagnostic areas, and ORs using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds, following policy and safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2-5 years of patient care experience preferred, and the ability to document information clearly in transport software.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in patient care preferred.
• Must be able to interact positively with patients and hospital personnel.
• Must be able to accurately record information provided by transport software and write legibly.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move patients to/from clinical units using wheelchair, stretcher or bed.
• Respond to alerts to prevent ED diversion, OR and PACU holds.
• Assist with disasters as directed and follow established policies and procedures.

Evening Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Job Summary:

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients to and from clinical units, and various diagnostic/treatment areas via a wheelchair, stretcher or bed which may include patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips and other equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Patient Transporter responds to various alerts to prevent Emergency Department Diversion, Operating Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit Holds, and assists with all disasters as directed.

Education:

High school diploma/ GED is required.

Experience:

• 2-5 years experience in patient care preferred
• Must be able to interact positively with patients and hospital personnel.
• Must be able to accurately record information provided by transport software and write legibly.
• Must be able to hear, comprehend and follow directions.
• Must be able to walk extensively and be capable of lifting and moving patients.
