Job summary

Phoenixville Hospital - Tower Health is seeking a dedicated Transport Technician for the evening shift in Phoenixville, PA. The role involves moving patients, blood products, and equipment across units to support efficient patient care.

You will work with nursing staff to uphold safety, PPE compliance, and infection control practices. The position requires strong communication, teamwork and multitasking abilities, with a focus on accurate handling of items and patient safety during transfers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• BLS Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Move patients, blood products, and other medical items to and from clinical units and diagnostic areas.
• Support nursing staff with delivery of quality patient care.
• Maintain safety by adhering to PPE guidelines and completing fit testing as required.
• Navigate hospital halls, elevators, and rooms with patient equipment efficiently.
• Promote a safe environment and follow Tower Health policies and procedures.

Job Summary

Work Schedule: Full-Time Evening Position HOURS ARE 12:30PM-9:00PM with weekend and holiday rotation required.

Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients, various blood products from the lab, and other medical items and equipment to and from clinical units as well as various diagnostic treatment and testing areas, while adhering to all Tower Health policies and procedures by supporting the nursing staff with the delivery of quality patient care. Promotes a safe environment and performs all work-related duties in a safe manner. Stays up to date on all PPE education, participates in annual fit testing, and makes sure the proper PPE is being worn for the proper isolation requiring it. In addition to moving patients, members of our transport team can efficiently maneuver various types of patient equipment through hospital halls, elevators, and rooms.
