Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a patient transport professional to move patients throughout CoxHealth facilities, under supervision of the Director or designee. You will work with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care and patient safety during transport.

This role requires the ability to lift and move patients and to communicate clearly with patients, visitors, and coworkers. High School Diploma or equivalent is required; experience is not necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be able to lift and move patients and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from departments/units across the hospital.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care during transport.
• Ensure safety of patients and equipment during transport.

Under the direct supervision of the Director or designee performs those duties directly involved with the transport of patients to and from departments / units throughout the hospital. Interacts with nursing personnel to assure continuance of care during the transport process. Assumes responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions.Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: No experience required Skills: Must be physically capable of lifting and moving patients.
