Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Transporter to move patients and materials between units while following safe patient handling policies. You will also pick up and deliver specimens, patient care items, and visitors across wards and departments.

The role emphasizes timely, courteous transport under hourly conditions, with focus on patient comfort and safety. High school diploma and basic computer skills are preferred, plus 6 months of related care/customer service experience.

Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Transporter is responsible for performing patient transports and patient transfers using the appropriate equipment while adhering to safe patient handling policies and procedures. Position is also responsible for picking up and delivering specimens, patient care items, visitors between patient care units and other ancillary departments.
