Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Transporter to perform patient transports and transfers using the proper equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to handling policies. The role includes picking up and delivering specimens and care items, as well as transporting visitors between units.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, and 6 months of patient care and/or customer service experience, plus American Heart Association BLS-CPR certification.

Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Transporter is responsible for performing patient transports and patient transfers using the appropriate equipment while adhering to safe patient handling policies and procedures. Position is also responsible for picking up and delivering specimens, patient care items, visitors between patient care units and other ancillary departments.
