Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee is seeking a patient transport team member to move patients and equipment throughout Froedtert Hospital, ensuring access and safety in corridors.

The role requires interacting with patients and staff, monitoring entrances, and using hospital software to obtain information. Shift 2 runs 11:00am–9:30pm, Monday through Friday with some holidays; on-site work is expected, with a standard 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Must possess good public relations and communication skills.
• Must be able to interact well with the general public and make sound judgments in various situations.
• Must possess basic telephone and computer skills and use hospital software to obtain information for staff monitoring entrances.

Responsibilities

• Move patients and hospital equipment throughout Froedtert Hospital.
• Maintain obstruction-free corridors and disinfect equipment per regulations.
• Monitor designated entrances and provide directions to patients and family members.
• Access hospital systems and answer telephones to provide general information to staff and patients.

FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 2 Shift Details: M-F, EOW, Some holidays, 11:00am-9:30pm Job Summary: Moves patients and hospital equipment, including but not limited to oxygen tanks, specimens, and hospital beds throughout Froedtert Hospital. Maintains obstruction-free corridors and disinfects hospital equipment per regulations. May be required to monitor designated entrances, provide directions to patients and family members, access hospital systems, and answer telephones to provide general information to staff and patients. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to receive and convey non-medical information. Must possess good public relations and communication skills. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
