Job summary

Tenet Healthcare’s DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit is seeking Laboratory and Clinical Technicians to support patient care on a rotating schedule.

Under general supervision, you will escort and transport patients, deliver specimens and charts, and assist with daily hospital operations; a strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write follow written and oral instructions and perform general clerical functions related to the job.
• No previous related experience required; one to four weeks on-the-job training.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs transporter duties which may include, but are not limited to escorting and/or transporting patients within the hospital. Escorts patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed for treatment, testing, admitting, discharge and intra-hospital transfers. Delivers on request specimens, patient charts and various other patient related materials to specified department or other hospital area. The Detroit Medical Center retains the right to create and revise all job descriptions, at its sole discretion.
