Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital - Bartlett is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely move patients and visitors throughout the facility. You will document service requests and maintain transport equipment in clean, working order.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, assisting coworkers, and potentially supporting light clerical tasks when available. A high school diploma and BLS certification are preferred; prior patient transport or customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and related previous work experience.
• Preferred: Experience in patient transportation or customer service.
• Certifications: BLS

• Receive and transport patients and visitors to designated destinations.

Job Summary

Receives and transports patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination. Will document request for Services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system. Will maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition as well as proper working order (i.e.-oiling wheels of such equipment). Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
