Job summary

AHMC HealthCare is seeking a Transporter to transfer patients safely within the medical center. You will assist imaging services, ensuring supplies are restocked and patients are positioned correctly.

The ideal candidate will have a focus on excellent customer service, effective communication, and a commitment to safety. Preferred qualifications include experience in patient care and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
• Preferred 1 year experience in general patient care.
• Experience with Emergency Medical Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant certificate is an advantage.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Transporter, under minimum supervision, is responsible for the transferring of patients from the bed, gurney, wheelchair and/or table and transporting patients safely throughout the medical center.

Assist the technologists within Imaging Services with room set up, obtaining and restocking all supplies, completing various department logs, and patient positioning required for various imaging modalities.

Support the mission, core values, strategic plan, and performance improvement plan of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center, and support all organizational expectations including customer service, patients’ rights, confidentiality of information, environment of care, and AHMC initiatives.

Provide excellent verbal communication skills, customer service, and use good body mechanics to minimize risk of injury to self and patients.

Education / Training / Experience

Must be able to effectively speak, read, and write in English.

• 1 Year Experience in General Patient Care (Preferred)
• Emergency Medical Technician certificate (Preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate (Preferred)
