The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience. You will work in the field, managing safety conditions and performing routine material testing. The position may require working nights and weekends as needed.

JMT's Raleigh Construction Management Team is seeking a Transportation Technician II to apply standard inspection procedures on ongoing activities in the State of North Carolina, during and after construction for quality, safety and conformance to plans and specifications. Statewide opportunities available.
Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.
Work is performed in the field. Ability to work safely in an outside environment with exposure to hazards on construction sites including heights, highway traffic, and traversing rough terrain in evaluating highway construction. Must be able to perform moderate physical activity including but not limited to walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and standing. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
