The Idaho Transportation Department in Bonners Ferry, Idaho is seeking a Transportation Technician Apprentice – Highway Maintenance. This 3-5 year program combines on-the-job training with classroom instruction, offering a clear wage progression from starting at $21.05–$21.55 per hour to higher steps as you advance.

Starting as an Apprentice, you will perform entry‑level maintenance tasks, operate equipment, and support traffic services while pursuing a Class A CDL within 60 days of hire.

Qualificações

• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Able to pass a driving record check.
• Willing to work irregular shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Perform snow plowing, striping, and traffic sign maintenance.
• Operate highway maintenance equipment and tools.
• Inspect projects and conduct material testing.
• Work in all weather and hazardous conditions on busy highways.
• Possess physical stamina for lifting and handling heavy objects.

Conhecimentos
