Topre America Corporation is seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor (CDL-A Required) to lead our local shuttle driver operations in Smyrna, TN. You will oversee CDL drivers, coordinate schedules, and ensure safe, on-time transportation for finished goods and parts in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and DOT compliance with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to train and coach CDL shuttle drivers.
• Experience supervising CDL drivers or transportation teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise CDL shuttle drivers across multiple shifts.
• Coordinate daily transportation schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Oversee movement of finished goods, service parts, and trial parts.
• Communicate with production, shipping, receiving, customers, and internal departments.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules for tractors and trailers.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance supplies as needed.
• Develop, implement, and maintain transportation procedures and work instructions.
• Train and coach CDL shuttle drivers for safe operations.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety.
• Monitor fleet performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Supervise approximately XX CDL drivers and Team Leads across three shifts.

Position Summary

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CDL shuttle driver team across multiple shifts. This position ensures the safe and efficient movement of finished goods, service parts, and trial parts while maintaining DOT compliance, fleet readiness, and excellent customer service.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise CDL shuttle drivers across multiple shifts.


• Coordinate daily transportation schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.


• Oversee the movement of finished goods, service parts, and trial parts.


• Communicate effectively with production, shipping, receiving, customers, and internal departments.


• Manage preventive maintenance schedules for tractors and trailers.


• Coordinate repairs and order maintenance supplies as needed.


• Develop, implement, and maintain transportation procedures and work instructions.


• Train, coach, and support CDL shuttle drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations.


• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and all safety requirements.


• Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.


• Supervise approximately XX CDL drivers and Team Leads across three shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)


• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience managing CDL drivers, transportation, or logistics teams


• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills


• Basic computer proficiency


• Excellent organizational and time management skills


• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT compliance


• Ability to fill in as a shuttle driver when operational needs require

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous automotive manufacturing experience


• Experience supervising multiple shifts


• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance


• Experience with transportation scheduling and fleet coordination

Additional Requirements

• This position participates in an on-call rotation to support transportation operations outside normal business hours.


• Must be able to effectively manage fleet maintenance schedules for tractors and trailers.


• Must be committed to maintaining a safe, productive, and customer-focused operation.
