Brown Foodservice, Inc. in Louisa, KY is hiring a Transportation Supervisor to plan, direct and optimize our regional delivery operations. You will supervise delivery drivers across multiple locations, coordinate schedules and ensure DOT compliance while maintaining service excellence.

This role requires hands-on leadership, safety focus, and collaboration with sales and operations to meet customer expectations and keep vehicles and routes running smoothly.

Responsabilités

• Develop ongoing driver training and onboarding.
• Help develop and implement new processes.
• Organize and present driver observations.
• Subject matter expert for driver processes and systems.
• Promote driver safety programs.
• Track and communicate driver KPIs.
• Assist Transportation Manager with weekly driver schedules.
• Assist with equipment oversight and reporting.
• Attend daily transportation meetings.
• Provide daily transportation updates to Sales and Operations.
• Track late trucks, missed deliveries, and breakdowns.
• Audit daily POD usage.
• Handle driver hotel reservations and monitor expenses.
• Occasional travel to shuttle points in KY, WV, OH.
• Weekend duties as needed.
• Support delivery routes and shuttling.
• Backfill Transportation Manager when needed.
• Support all transportation areas as needed.
• Collaborate with sales and transport teams to ensure great customer experience.
• Optimize delivery routes with sales and routing.
• Fill in as a Route Delivery Driver as needed.
• Monitor equipment maintenance.
• Maintain equipment condition and documentation.
• Foster safety and customer-service culture.
• Ensure DOT-compliant driver documentation.
• Train new drivers and trainees.
• Provide quarterly retraining for tenured drivers.
• Coordinate with drivers and leasing partners to resolve breakdowns.
• Develop understanding of transportation roles.
• Coach and discipline per policy.
• Lead accident investigations.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Summary:

In the Transportation Supervisor position, you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and maintaining efficient transportation services for the company at our Louisa, KY location. You will be responsible for directly supervising and managing Delivery Drivers domiciled in multiple locations, reporting to the Transportation Director.

You will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and deliveringfine foods since 1942.

Role Profile:

• Gate to Gate training with all new hires coming out of orientation.
• Continuous development of all new drivers. (Pre-Trip Beginning Day)
• Assist in the development and implementation ofnew processes and procedures.
• Organize, document and present driver observations.
• Subject matter expert w/all driver processes. (Pod, Paperwork, Daily Deposits, Samsara transactions, etc.)
• Promote Driver Safety (Lifting and Back Safety, SLAM Safety Videos, Lift Gate Safety, Three Points of Contact, etc.)
• Organize and communicate driver KPI’s. To include updates to driver communication board.
• Assist Trans Manager with weekly drivers schedule.
• Assist Trans Manager with oversight of equipment. To also include reporting down equipment to Ryder.
• Attend daily Trans meeting with Operations VP.
• Provide morning/afternoon Trans updates to Sales and Operations.
• Continuous tracking of late trucks, missed deliveries, and breakdowns.
• Audits of daily Pod usage.
• Driver hotel reservations as needed (Daily monitoring of credit card usage)
• Travel required as needed, to include overnight stay (Shuttle points in KY, WV and OH)
• Weekend responsibilities when called upon.
• Support route delivery/shuttling when called upon.
• Backfill Transportation Management when called upon.
• Support all areas of Transportation when called upon.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work with sales team and transportation team membersto establish and maintain an excellent customer experience.
• Work with sales and routing to create and maintain efficient delivery routes.
• Fill in as a Route Delivery Driver at company facility or remote domicileswhen called upon.
• Monitor Brown Foodservice equipment to ensure maintenance is up to date.
• Work to maintain equipment conditionsand documentation to ensure products are transported in accordance company and government guidelines.
• Monitor Delivery Drivers to ensure that a culture ofsafety and customer service is always exhibited, including but not limited to Driver work and appearance.
• Ensure Driver documentation is in compliance with DOT regulations, such ashealth cards and drivinglogs.
• Trainnew Drivers and Trainees, reviewing all policies and procedures that needs to be followed.
• Provide retraining as needed (on aquarterly basisat minimum) of all tenured Drivers at the company's facility, remote domiciles, and/or during a daily route.
• Work with Drivers and third-party leasing company to resolve any breakdowns that may occur on routes to reduce downtime as much as possible and maintain delivery schedules.
• Develop an understandingand assist in execution of duties and responsibilities of all transportation personnel.
• Provide coaching and/or discipline in accordance with company policies and collective bargaining agreementwhen requiredfor transportation personnel.
• Conduct accident investigation with Drivers and company equipment involved at company facility and the scene of an incident.
• Additional duties as assigned.
