Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid drivers license is required.
• Minimum of one yearban experience providing transportation to children and families is preferred.
• Must meet minimum driver guidelines and be covered by company automobile insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients safely and promptly as needed.
• Monitor and assist multiple clients, including children with special health conditions or disabilities.
• Enforce safety regulations (seat belts, child safety seats) and obey traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain transport documentation and report incidents to a supervisor.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

About the Transportation Specialist:

The Transportation Specialist assists in providing transportation services, including, but not limited to, youth transportation to and from school, court, FAPT, treatment meetings, and supervised visitation.

This is a part-time position with a commitment of about 20 hours per week. This may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year's experience providing transportation services to children and their families preferred.
• Possession of a valid state driver's license is required.
• Must meet the minimum driver guidelines and be covered by the company automobile insurance policy.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safe and timely transportation of clients as needed.
• Provide constant monitoring and assistance to a various number of clients at the same time, including children with special health conditions and/or disabilities.
• Enforce safety regulations, including but not limited to, safety belts and child safety seats laws.
• Obey all traffic laws and company guidelines while driving company cars, with or without a client in the vehicle
• Maintain documentation of each transport and administer written assessments or reports to the client's clinical specialist.
• Report concerning incidents or injuries immediately to a supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA requirements.

Other Requirements:

• Must possess a driver's license valid in the state where the work site is located, as the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Ability to complete pre-service and annual in-service CPR and all other training required at licensing standards, company policy and procedures, and locality
