Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Transportation Analyst to analyze and optimize the effectiveness of transportation processes, including parcel, LTL, and FTL operations. You will work with carrier partners and internal teams to drive cost improvements while ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Responsibilities include developing SOPs, maintaining transportation dashboards, auditing invoices, onboarding carriers, and providing data for quarterly business reviews.

Job Details

Under general direction of the Corporate Transportation Manager, responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of existing Transportation processes and customer delivery for all aspects of transportation including but not limited to: parcel, LTL (less than truckload), FTL (full truckload), carrier deliveries at local, regional and national impact., ensuring carrier performance and Cencora objectives are aligned. Recommends and contributes to improved strategies in order to reduce cost as a result of these efforts. Supports transportation directors and managers through direction of Corporate Transportation initiatives.

Works closely with carrier partners, forward distribution centers and Cencora corporate departments to manage any issues related to claims, payment, delivery issues, and related needs

Lead efforts relating to holiday closures including customer notifications, routing, and timelines

Monitors shipment statuses of all daily outbound shipments

Works closely with carrier dispatch, forward distribution centers, Cencora corporate departments and sales in resolving issues and/or answers questions relative to delivery

Develops SOP's that ensure all carriers follow the proper policies and procedures when delivering end mile customer orders

Develops and maintains dashboard that will analyze daily/weekly/monthly transportation KPIs (key performance indicators)

Audits carrier invoices against contract terms and approves transportation invoices for payment

Works closely with carrier partners, forward distribution centers, and Cencora corporate departments, to manage/resolve any issues related to claims

Works with carriers and Transportation Manager as needed to improve various aspects of performance, to be managed and reported by carrier scorecard

Proficient in data acquisition from various Enterprise Client Relationship or Transportation Management systems which include but not limited to: WMS, SAP, TMS PKMS, IBS and other systems or data sources as needed or added

Analyzes and performs freight & lane characteristics to ensure the optimal carriers are used for end mile delivery

Provide analysis and data in preparation for carrier quarterly business reviews

Train in the solutions designed to manage the processes necessary to support the Enterprise Transportation Network

Works to continuously improve business processes and designs by developing and providing data that results in the implementation of initiatives that reduce cost, improve effectiveness and improves the quality or magnitude of the end result

Onboards new carriers and technology partners as needed Compiles data from various Cencora Corporation Client Relationship or Transportation Management systems which include but not limited to: CSP, EEM, SAP, any future TMS, and other systems or data sources as needed or added.

Evaluates business processes and designs, develops and provides data that assists in the implementation of improvements that reduce cost, improve effectiveness and improves the quality or magnitude of the end result.

Examines transportation network delivery accuracy and recommends line volume shift between distribution centers to improve service levels

Develop transportation related databases as required for specific business needs.

Develop and analyze daily/weekly/monthly transportation KPIs (key performance indicators). FTL and LTL (Full/Less Than Truckload) planning, forecasting, freight and land characteristics to effectively select optimal carrier and mode of shipments.

Manages contracts, depot address, and depot inspection database for all carriers.

Create/prepare and gather data and requirements for transportation request for proposal's (RFP's) and carrier conversions. Creates and manages multiple RFP playbooks, multiple conversion playbooks and associated project plans coordinating activities between Corporate Transportation, DC (distribution center) management and Carrier(s).

Monitor transportation vendor compliance with global contracts.

Develops new solutions to various challenges ABC faces as it relates to the distribution of product to external and internal customers, meeting business objectives.

Trains others in the solutions designed to manage the processes necessary to support the distribution operations.
