Job summary

Asurgent Health Addiction Treatment Center in Cleveland Heights, OH is seeking a Transportation Specialist to safely move clients to our treatment facility, medical appointments, and other designated locations. This full-time, on-site role offers $16.00 - $18.00 per hour and requires a valid driver’s license.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain mileage records, and ensure safety and confidentiality while delivering compassionate support to people in recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Healthcare or substance abuse treatment setting experience a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local geography and roads.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from our treatment facility, medical appointments, and other designated locations
• Ensure the safety and comfort of every client during transit
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized, and maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and maintenance
• Follow all traffic laws and agency protocols for client safety and confidentiality
• Communicate clearly with clients, clinical staff, and supervisors, and report any concerns or incidents
• Coordinate schedules and logistics to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs
• Provide a positive, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment, responding calmly to any challenging situations
